ABOUT US:

    Welcome to the web site of the Gulf Coast Italian Culture Society of Sarasota, Florida. Located on the Gulf of Mexico, Sarasota has world renown white beaches, professional and amateur theatre, opera, symphony, and ballet companies, along with numerous restaurants catering to any taste. The Society was founded in 1990. It is a non-profit and non- political organization and is an affiliate of the National Italian American Foundation.

    The purpose and aims of the Society are the achievement and promotion of greater understanding and appreciation for the educational, cultural, social, economic and political achievements and welfare of Americans of Italian heritage.

    Officers and Board of Directors provide a variety of Italian experiences within our community and cooperate with the Italian Consul of Miami on international programs of mutual interest.

    Numerous programs and activities are offered, but one of our main purpose is supporting cultural community programs through financial grants and providing scholarships to high school seniors of Italian heritage.  Browse through our site to learn more about our Society and events.
